Facebook WhatsApp and Instagram services shut down. The three apps – which are owned by Facebook and run on shared infrastructure – all completely stopped working shortly before 5 pm. Other products that are part of the same family of apps, such as Facebook Workplace, also stopped working. The servers of social media Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram have gone down in different countries of the world including Bangladesh. As a result, users are not able to enter through these. The services of these social media outlets all over the world suddenly stopped from 9:40 pm on Monday.

A message has been seen on Facebook’s website since Monday evening. It says, ‘Sorry, there is a problem. We are working on a solution. It will be fine soon. According to an internet gateway company in Bangladesh, the servers of Facebook and WhatsApp are down in Bangladesh from 9.30 pm. However, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram have not yet officially announced anything. ‘Website browser problem tracking down detector has identified 60,000 reports in the case of WhatsApp and 50,000 in the case of Facebook.

Facebook now has 290 crore monthly active users. 4 crores 80 lakh of these users live in Bangladesh. This means that this amount of accounts from around the world is logged into Facebook at least once a month.
